Ginger over at GReads! is doing something special this month: playlists based on books. This week I've decided to pick a song forThe Fault in Our Stars by John Greene.
I've decided to go with Hand Grenade by The Almost. If you've read the book then you know what grenade means, and if you listen to the lyrics close enough you'll... just listen to the damn song. It fits.
No lie, this song/book combo made me teary eyed...but then again, is it possible not to get emotional thinking about this book?? And you are so right about the lyrics, btw. It fits. :)
THIS BOOK! Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes! These two characters just tug on my heart. And this song is so perfect.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it. I had been looking for a better song for it but couldn't find one that fits.
DeleteHand Grenade.. nice, very nice.

ReplyDeleteMy Book Playlist this week. :)
I love your Lola song. I was going to pick this for it this week but passed since I didn't like the book. Kill by Jimmy Eat World:

Holy crap...that song is one of my favorites and it's perfect for Lola! I love Jimmy Eat World to death.
DeleteNever heard this song, but I love it. And I've yet to read this book, but I'm on a mission to remedy that, I promise! lol Nice choice!
ReplyDeleteYou need to read TFiOS! I didn't think it was the best John Green book ever but it is very good.
DeleteVery Good.
ReplyDelete(I read the book just in time to really get this. Phew.)
