  1. Any IMM with a Brave Little Toaster shout-out is a TOTAL WIN in my book.

I think you will love Will Grayson, Will Grayson.

    1. Thank you. I tend to ramble when I get nervous. Being on video = nervous me.

  3. That was a good first video :) I haven't even made one yet so way to go!! I bought WIll Grayson, Will Grayson at the Tour de Nerdfighting when Hank and John were touring through Portland and I have yet to read it. Hope we both enjoy it!

    1. Thanks! I was nervous about posting it. I'm not a professional at all. I'll probably read Will Grayson next week.

  4. I love The Brave Little Toaster SO MUCH. And Lampy, who falls asleep like me.

Throughout most of this video I was all, "Show us your tattoos!" and THEN YOU SHOWED THEM. As a result I'm not sure what books you had but I think they were all by David Levithan.

    1. Blanket was my favorite as a kid.

I have more than what's shown in the video. If you would like I will make another video (soon) and show them all.

    2. You're right. I'm not making a video of me shirtless. That would be pushing it too far.

  5. OH MY GOSH. Laughing so hard.. "just think about that... that's a topic in a book..."

PLEASE keep the IMM vlogs coming. Or at least more vlogs. :)

    1. I plan to do more vlogs. This was a bit of fun to test the waters. But since everyone is really enjoying and finding it funny: I'll keep it up.

  6. This is the best IMM I've ever seen. Please just stop typing and talk from now on, forever.

AND I also haven't read Delirium yet either I have it on the Kindle too. But my Kindle doesn't have swords and I'd like it to. So how can I go about that?

    Also, shout-outs rule.

    1. Thank you.

Deal. I will try to do more videos.

Err. I had to, um, do something that voids the warranty to get those ugly pictures off of my Kindle.

Thank you for the recommendations. Seriously. I think I've read two or three things because of you and they've all turned out to be good.

    2. Dangit about the Kindle. The pictures are so unpleasant. But I drop mine all the time so I can't, um, do anything to mine. Dangit.

      You're welcome. ;)

    1. Thank you! I had no idea you read my blog at all. I know I annoy everyone on FB with links, but... I just wanted you guys in on it.

    2. Yup. I enjoy them very much. Also, you should read "The Universe in Miniature in Miniature" by Patrick Somerville. It's a short story collection, and completely bizarre and different from anything I've ever read. Also there are instructions on how to make the book flap into a hanging mobile of the solar system.

    3. Noted and added to my To Be Read pile.

  8. "Just think about that." Heh.

Also, that's a really cool background. Did you do that yourself?

    1. My sister did that with some electrical tape (that's my dining room wall). She's got more artistic talent than I do.

    2. Please high five your sister for me.

  9. I all have to say that if I ever saw you in a bookstore I would totally hit on you.

You should keep making more videos.

  10. "... I'm not a heavy drug user, and well, I don't use drugs at all..."

This video was perfect, and very Adam. I'm so glad the world is now able to enjoy your incredibly deep voice.

Great job, and nobody here is laughing at you :)

  11. I've yet to brave a vlog, after blogging for a year now, so way to go! *high five* It's a great one. :)

The Lover's Dictionary is really good. I have nearly every page in the book tagged with definitions I loved. And I think you'll really enjoy WG, WG. John and David should write more books together...

    1. My first experience with David Levithan was not a good one (Naomi & Ely's No Kiss List). I just couldn't get the book completely, but I thought it was good. The more I read of Levithan the more I like him. Dash & Lily was really a great holiday read.

I can see that The Lover's Dictionary is going to be very nerdy. Which is not a bad thing, but still...

  12. BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER FTW!!!!!!!!! And will never laugh at your accent. I assure you, mine's worse! I didn't cry getting any of my tattoos...wasn't that painful. Love the tic tac toe. What's the big one? Oh books! Haha. Loved your description of Delirium. I have WGWG, and all his books, but I've only read Looking for Alaska. Also...you must do more vlogs!

    1. Where are you from, Mandie? I will show off my tattoos in my next video and explain them (I promise). The big one is bigger then you think...

Yeah, Delirium. I just, every time I go to read it I just kind of blank and ask myself what kind of experience it's going to be and I really can't think of it as being a good one.

  13. I haven't read Delirium yet either. I love the vlog. TFIOS is sitting on my shelf. I cried when I read Looking for Alaska, so I'm saving the former for when I need a good cry, I think.

Major points for the Brave Little Toaster. Such a good movie!

    1. I didn't read Looking for Alaska: I listened to it as an audiobook at work one day. Can you imagine walking past a cubicle and seeing a guy whimpering at his desk? John Green has cost me some street cred. He's an asshole. But he's also a great writer.

  14. Nice vlog. You have a much deeper voice than I would have guessed by your picture. And you are totally not the only one who has not read delirium. I just ordered it this week. Will Grayson is excellent. I had the audiobook which was awesome. I bet the print book is excellent as well. Happy reading!

    1. Thank you! I get the voice comments all the time. I expect one day my voice will match my size, but for now I'm kind of stuck.

I am looking forward to WGWG. Levithan and Green are probably the most talented YA novelists out there, and for them to team up for a book (and me not knowing about it until last week); it should be a good one.

  15. I couldn't comment yesterday from my iPhone...so...

    Best IMM EVAH!

    And, I love tomatoes, too!

  16. So I tried to comment yesterday but I forgot my google password *headdesk*. This is basically what I said:

    1. Your accent is nice :)
    2. WOAH, you have a very deep voice
    3. Delirium is awesome and you should read it! It's not about banning love, it's about the consensus that love is a bad thing. Just promise me you'll read it!
    4. Please let me know how The Lover's Dictionary is as I've heard of it but I wasn't sure about it.
    5. The background in your video totally reminds me of Three Men and a Baby
    6. Do more Vlogs, you did great :)

    1. One and two: thank you!

Three: I will give Delirium a chance. I just keep putting it off. I'm not sure if I can get behind the concept or not, but I said the same thing about Across the Universe and I am loving it right now.

Four: I will. I might do video reviews, but I'm new at this so figuring everything out = mind boggling.

Five: My sister made that background with electrical tape. She is very talented like that.

Six: I will. You guys have been awesome about it. Now... Would you like some tomatoes?

  17. Your voice scared me at first. But then it stopped scaring me.

I'm avoiding John Green because he makes girls cry. Also boys apparently. LOOKING FOR ALASKA traumatized me. I'll get to it one day.

    Keep vlogging dude.

    1. Yeah, anybody who reads John Green and doesn't cry is a robot in my opinion. Or a sociopath.

Sorry my voice is kind of deep and I have this drawl that I can't get rid of. I'm glad you got used to it! :)
