About My Tattoos

I've decided to put together a video to answer a few questions that you guys had for me after my In My Mailbox post. It's not really book related. This is about me and my tattoos.

A Story That Could Be True by William Stafford. Here's the quote:

They miss the whisper that runs
any day in your mind,
"Who are you really, wanderer?"--
and the answer you have to give
no matter how dark and cold
the world around you is:
"Maybe I'm a king."

Also, here are some close ups of my arm:

  1. I burst out laughing when you panned to the tree. You are a highly endearing person, Adam, I think your sister would agree, and these vlogs are The Next Big Thing.

  2. Your tattoos are really awesome. I love that you carry around a Sharpie just in case.

    1. Thank you! I didn't at first and people were using pens and jabbing me. Thankfully Sharpie came out with key chain markers.

  3. Yay! Another video. One of the better parts of my day. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I THOUGHT those were snowflakes. I feel so smart right now.

  4. Love the tic tac toe and carry along sharpie!! Easy way to entertain yourself if you have no books or phone!! Very cool. The Dino is neat and funny! Reminds me of Meet the Robinsons! "I have a big head and little arms". And the willow tree and snow, beautiful!! Man, now I want to get another tat...or 3 or 4! Ha! Sorry the quote was messed up though. Shame. Oh and yay for nerds!!

And, I grew up in FL panhandle 45 mins south of AL and now live in Dothan, AL...so yeah SOUTHERN accent!! Let's just say something's I say sound just like Melanie Carmichael in Sweet Home AL.

    1. My next plans involve a Dalek and a police box. I'll post pictures when I get it a few months from now. Thank you for the compliments.

I can't say that my accent is as bad as someone from AL (I know people), but I can hear my drawl when I watch the videos. I'm trying to get used to hearing the sound of my own voice because the vlogging experience has been a lot of fun so far. Also, woot! for Florida.

  5. Hey I still have my Christmas tree up. Don't judge. I actually just like it and think it's pretty. It usually comes down after my birthday in March. Weird I know. Anyway, fun video. Your tattoos are cool though no one ever really wins at tic tac toe. And what do you do after the first game? Sharpie doesn't come off easy.

    1. That's kind of the point. Sharpie doesn't erase unless you really scrub at it. So only one game a day. You don't want to spend all day or night with your arm stuck out while people write all over you. Trust me, it's not fun.

    2. Good point. Guess the person who gets to you first is the lucky one. :)

  6. Not wanting a permanent misspelling is one of the reasons I don't want a tattoo. Yours, at least, are pretty cool.

  7. I just watched this video today, and then I found out the Chieftains (raddest band on the planet) have a new album with this excellent creepy song:

    2. My pleasure. I've had it on repeat all day. It will make our class discussion of Freud and dream interpretation pretty interesting tomorrow.
