After reading the romantically themed young adult novel (The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight) I thought I'd share with everyone what I consider to be a very romantic--yet oddly emo-ish--song. Thunder by Boys Like Girls:
I'm not getting why this song and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight are merging together in my head, but there you have it.
Why this song? I have no idea. She just has a lovely voice and I can never get enough Zooey Deschanel (she's been my geeky crush ever since she played Trillian in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).
Obligatory picture of Zooey as Trillian:
Ya know, I think Zooey could play a Hadley :)
ReplyDeleteI was picturing her as being played by Emma Stone.
DeleteI love Thunder....when I was little my grandmother told me this huge story about finding my Thunder....and this song always reminded me of that for some reason! I also enjoy She and Him on occasion. I love Zoey..she is absolutely funny!

It's a bit late but she's got a Christmas album out that ain't bad. BTW I happen to love Arctic Monkeys.
DeleteOMG...I NOW so love you..they are my very favorite of like EVERYONE....and no one ever seems to know who they are =o/...But I spread the love almost once a month in Tuned in Tuesdays LOL. I am sure people say..Could you please stop it now! My best friend calls them the Frozen Monkeys--eye roll--
ReplyDeleteZooey has also been my girl crush for a while; she can do no wrong.

I love your picks this week. Thunder is one of my favorite Boys Like Girls songs. I haven't listened to a lot of She & Him, but I do enjoy this song a lot. As for Zooey, I love her! She always seems so quirky. I love all things quirky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
My Tune in Tuesday pick!
Zooey is the very definition of quirky. New Girl has been the only new TV show that I've watched so far this year.
DeleteZooey was best in Elf and also Gigantic with Paul Dano. But this has NOTHING to do with the music.
ReplyDeletegoogle knows it :-D
