Tune in Tuesday is hosted by Ginger at GReads.
There is a point where Jane Austen starts to bleed over into other areas of my life. This happened last night while I listened to my iPod on random. The following is Anberlin's Impossible.
And if Darcy gets his own song to sing to Elizabeth then clearly she needs one as well. I think that's Obvious by Hey Monday. If anything her sisters can makeup the rest of the band.
Welcome to tune in! I think it just got a whole lot more interesting with your addition! These songs are perfect!!
ReplyDeleteOh Adam, I adore you :) thanks for participating!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandie! I have yet to start a Jane Austen themed punk band, but it's in the works.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting it, Ginger.
Oh my gosh first person ever to post a Anberlin song here! I love them..I saw them in concert a few years ago and they rocked! Welcome to the club, its a fun place to be every Tuesday and I had to giggle a bit when I read your URL...best one ever
ReplyDeleteThanks Tee! I think Impossible fits perfectly with Darcy's feelings on Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteI love Anberlin so much.
ReplyDeleteHello! My first time here. HAHA! Love the blog title! *gasp* (your the second male book blogger I have met in my blogging life!! Funny the first one was named Adam as well!)
ReplyDeleteHaha (again) on the punk band+ Jane Austen= hilariously cute! Im trying to picture Colin Firth Jennifer Ehle (from the 95 TV series)doing this!
Happy Tuesday! :)
Pleasure meeting you!
Thanks Kiwi! I have noticed that there aren't many male book bloggers, and a lot less male young adult book bloggers. I just imagined Jennifer Ehle rocking a guitar. It works well in my head.
ReplyDeleteAsheley, funny side note. I was at a wedding and the couples first song to dance to was an Anberlin song. I said (very loudly in a quiet room) "I love Anberlin! This is Anberlin!" And everyone looked at me. I then had to tell myself to shut up.
Anberlin covered Depeche Mode, and very well. That is all.
DeleteI mean, I loved them before that. But after that, no explanation was required. Had I heard you say that loudly in a quiet room, I'd have made my way to you and we'd be BFF now, for sure.
I had no idea I could directly reply to a response... Hmm.
DeleteHaha. It's surprising me that so many people know who Anberlin are but if I mention them in a room full of people no one knows what I'm talking about.
Anberlin AND Hey Monday?! Officially favorite post of the week because of my images of either Lydia Bennett rocking out on guitar, or Alex Lipshaw in an old school dress.
ReplyDeletePreet
A Written Rhapsody
I think Lydia would do bass. I have no problem imagining Donald Sutherland as Mr. Bennet playing the drums.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your picks!
ReplyDeleteOh my word. I LOVE ANBERLIN! They're definitely in my top 5 favorite groups of all time. I shared a couple Anberlin songs last month in Tune in Tuesday for the concert edition. They're spectacular and I get super excited when I find out somebody else likes them too. Thanks a heap for spreading the love further and welcome to Tune in Tuesday! (Oh, I'm also a huge Austen fan... just sayin'.)
ReplyDeleteMy Tune in Tuesday pick this week!
Thanks Bianca! I happen to like Framing Hanley as well.
ReplyDeleteLitza, I bring up Anberlin every chance I get. Their album Cities is as close to perfect as an album can get.
